The Hosts
Dr. Yvonne Kangong
Dr. Yvonne Kangong MD, MPH, d’ABOM , FCFP is a multifaceted Family Doctor renowned for her diverse contributions to medicine, community service, and personal wellness coaching. She completed her undergraduate in Microbiology at A.T.B.U Bauchi, Nigeria and medical education at Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine and pursued her residency at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine. Further enhancing her expertise, Dr. Kangong is a diplomate with the American Board of Obesity Medicine and holds a master’s degree in public health alongside a Culinary Coaching Certificate from the Harvard CHEF Program. She is also a certified transformational and lifestyle coach…

Dr. Kangong’s influence extends beyond her clinical practice. She is an esteemed local and international keynote speaker, mentor, advocate, and community builder. She serves as a clinical lecturer at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, where she was honored with a teaching award in 2019. Her dedication to community service has earned her multiple accolades, including an award from the Alberta Legislative Assembly in 2020, the PIA award for community service, and nominations for the Alberta Women Entrepreneur Award in 2021 and nominee for the RBC Women of Influence Award for three consecutive years (2021, 2022, and 2023). Recently in 2025 she received the King Charles III Coronation Medal, and the 237 Cameroonian Canadian Excellence Award for her service to community and her work in health care.
As the founder of Breakers Health BreakersHealth – Empowering Wellness for a Better Life , Dr. Kangong is committed to helping individuals overcome stigma and bias to reach their full potential. Her enterprise offers medical consultancy, weight management, and public speaking services. She is also the co-owner of KFS Rx Meals KFS Rx Meals: Keto-Friendly Sauces, Spices, and Shake & Bake Coatings

Maria Wu
Maria Wu is a healthcare entrepreneur and advocate dedicated to making medical care more accessible and inclusive. She is the founder of MAUD Medical Clinic, a vaginal health center, and Aroused Medical Clinic, both focused on empowering people to take charge of their own health and body. She is also the co-founder of Velocity Injury Medical Clinic.
Maria serves as President of the We Are Maud Foundation, providing pelvic health education and access to all. She is a Community Liaison for HPV Global Action working toward the global initiate of cervical cancer elimination. Her dedication to gender equality and healthcare access has earned her the Governor General’s Award for Women and Gender Equality Canada and the Business in Calgary Leadership Award.
Through her work, Maria continues to advocate for a more inclusive and informed approach to healthcare.
